This Privacy Policy governs the manner in which Mavora Parlor (“we”, “our” or “the Store”) collects, records, processes and safeguards the personal data of visitors and purchasers (“you”, “the Data Principal”) who transact for hand tools, power tools, fasteners and allied hardware through this website. The document is issued pursuant to the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000, together with the rules framed thereunder.

1. Data Fiduciary

1.1. Mavora Parlor is the Data Fiduciary that determines the purpose and means of processing your personal data.

1.2. By placing an order or otherwise interacting with the Store, you acknowledge that you have read and understood the terms recorded herein.

2. Categories of Data Recorded

2.1. Identity and contact particulars: name, delivery address, electronic mail address and telephone number.

2.2. Transaction particulars: items ordered, order value in Indian Rupees and the payment instrument selected (Unified Payments Interface or Cash on Delivery).

2.3. Technical particulars: internet protocol address, device and browser identifiers and pages accessed, recorded automatically for security and diagnostic purposes.

2.4. We do not store card numbers, bank credentials or UPI PINs; such details are never transmitted to or held by the Store.

3. Purposes of Processing

Your data is processed solely for the following specified purposes: (a) confirming and dispatching orders for tools and hardware; (b) issuing invoices and processing refunds; (c) responding to enquiries regarding product specifications, compatibility and safe operation; (d) preventing fraud and securing the platform; and (e) discharging obligations imposed by applicable law.

4. Lawful Basis and Consent

4.1. Processing is undertaken on the basis of the consent you provide at the point of collection or where processing is necessary for the performance of the sale contract.

4.2. Consent, once given, may be withdrawn at any time by written notice to the Grievance Officer, subject to record-retention obligations imposed by law.

5. Disclosure to Data Processors

Personal data is disclosed only to logistics partners for the purpose of delivery and to UPI payment facilitators for the purpose of settlement. Such parties are bound to process the data strictly on our instructions. We do not sell, rent or trade personal data to any third party for marketing consideration.

6. Retention Schedule

Transaction records are retained only for the period required to fulfil the purpose for which they were collected or for such longer period as is mandated by taxation and commercial statutes. Upon expiry of the applicable period, the data is erased or irreversibly anonymised.

7. Security Safeguards

The Store maintains reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, including encrypted transmission and access controls, commensurate with the sensitivity of the data held. No method of electronic transmission is entirely infallible and absolute security cannot be warranted.

8. Rights of the Data Principal

Subject to the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you are entitled to seek access to, correction of or erasure of your personal data, to nominate a representative and to lodge a grievance. Requests are actioned within the statutory period upon verification of identity.

9. Cookies and Analytics

The website employs strictly necessary cookies to operate the cart and checkout and limited analytical cookies to measure site performance. You may restrict cookies through your browser settings; certain functions may consequently be impaired.

10. Amendment

This Policy may be revised to reflect statutory or operational changes. The revised version takes effect upon publication on this page and continued use of the Store constitutes acceptance of the amended terms.

Grievance Redressal and Contact

In accordance with the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020 and the Information Technology Act, 2000, the designated Grievance Officer of Mavora Parlor may be contacted through the channels set out below. Complaints are acknowledged within forty-eight (48) hours and resolved within a reasonable period not exceeding one (1) month.
